Randolph Ian Stern, M.A.

Born in the flatlands of the San Fernando Valley near Los Angeles, Randy always wanted to explore his writing and to help improve the lives of others at the same time. Since 1992, Randy has been able to that in small portions.

Randy’s writing experience include being the Managing Editor of a Chicago-based online magazine. His work has also appeared in various online and print publications, including Lavender magazine covering various topics including the game of baseball. In 2005, he published an anthology of his poetry through a Minnesota small press, Autumnbridge Media, titled The Boy From Reseda. He also has his automotive/travel blog, Victory & Reseda.

The Heirloom was born from a series of baseball-related posts on Randy Stern’s blog. It relates to a post on MLB.com’s “Fan Perspectives” in 2003 that honored his mother as the one who introduced the game of baseball to her sons. The game is an heirloom passed down to its next generation to revere and enjoy for a lifetime. Some of the posts on this blog were previously posted and re-submitted with updated content. These will be reflections of past experiences with the game. Others will be brand new material posted exclusively on this blog.

Randy lives in Robbinsdale, a suburb of Minneapolis, and was recently awarded his Masters in Arts from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota this spring.
